TURKISH PRESIDENT ERDOGAN ACCUSES US OF SUPPORTING ISIS

Pentagon Moves to Develop Banned Intermediate Missile

The U.S. is laying the groundwork to build a type of missile banned by a Cold War-era pact unless Russia abandons its own pursuit of the weapons, U.S. officials said.

The U.S. military’s preliminary research and development, previously undisclosed, is aimed at potentially reviving an arsenal of prohibited ground-based, intermediate-range missiles if Moscow continues violating the pact, the officials said.

Turkish President Rexhep Tayyip Erdogan has accused the US of financial support to DAEŠ.

"The US has disappointed us a lot. They said they were fighting DAES, and what did they do? They gave DAES a bunch of dollars, "Erdogan said. He added that Ankara does not want to co-operate with Washington "about Africa," because the United States "has consistently violated" the agreement.

Putin Isn’t Interested in Helping America

Toward the end of his twelve-day trip to Asia, President Trump tweeted, “When will all the haters and fools out there realize that having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. There [sic] always playing politics — bad for our country. I want to solve North Korea, Syria, Ukraine, terrorism, and Russia can greatly help!”

Trump has a point. Russia can, in theory, “greatly help.” But it probably won’t, at least not “greatly.” It won’t help because Vladimir Putin and his regime don’t think helping America is in their national interest.

Putin, a former ghoul of the KGB, subscribes to a theory of statecraft with deep roots in both Russian and Soviet history.

(*the national review came to bury Putin , not to praise him . Astonishingly this article morphs Russia back into The Soviet Union , right beforeyour eyes)

'Hostility Between US and Russia Won't End Until Trump Leaves Office' - Sputnik

Russia's State Duma has adopted in the third and final reading an amendment that allows it to mark media outlets funded by foreign countries as foreign agents, in response to US actions. Radio Sputnik has discussed the issue with Stephen Ebert, an independent political analyst.
Sputnik: Is there any likelihood that the US will change its hostile policy towards the Russian media and get a message that their step was wrong?

Stephen Ebert: I actually do not see that in the near future. I think at this point we have come across a bridge. I personally look at requirements depending on what the word “foreign agent” means, but I don’t find it terribly unusual. Having said that, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. So I take it from a broader picture, I see this globally. Countries have the right to track or keep track of foreign [media]. And Russia is a foreign country.

I don’t necessarily find it that horrible as long as we all play by the same rules, which to me is what Russia is now doing.

And I would say this: As long as Trump is in office I guarantee you that any of that hostility, it just won’t end.>>>

Why this Oregon teen is facing federal drug charges for a gram of pot

Devontre Thomas is likely facing federal charges because the alleged possession took place at the Chemawa Indian School, which is run by the federal Bureau of Indian Education.

Devontre Thomas, 19, recently graduated from Chemawa Indian School in Salem and is heading to college this fall. But first, he’ll have to take a trip to the federal courthouse in Portland to fight the charge, stemming from an incident in March 2015.

Still, many are calling it a federal overreach, given the minuscule amount of marijuana involved in Thomas’s case — enough for one or two typical joints.

Steve Bannon: If America Doesn’t Thwart These Five Things, China Will Be a Hegemonic Power

Breitbart News Executive Chairman and former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon warned Monday that America’s attention needs to be focused on China, or it will be left behind in the communist country’s wake.

“Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, since our great victory over communist ideology…we’ve been on a strategic holiday, y’know ‘the end of history’ – we acted as if we are a hyperpower with nothing else to worry about,” Bannon told attendees at a Gatestone Institute event in New York City.

He pointed to recent developments in Beijing, specifically a recent three and a half hour speech by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the 19th Party Congress. He noted that, at the same time, a Brown University study found that since 2001 the cost of the global war on terror is $5.6 trillion.

“This is how you see great powers collapse,” he warned.

Do Trump's Liberal Critics Seem Increasingly Unhinged?

***
It is understandable that folks would be riled by Trump’s bluster about revoking the broadcast licenses of his critics or calling for the firing of protesting football players. His administration’s rhetoric on trade and the drug war threaten to revive moronic policies that should have been banished forever by perennial failures. But while Trump poses plenty of constitutional perils, many of his opponents are even more authoritarian.

Dennis Kucinich Discusses the ‘Permanent Government’ behind US Foreign Intervention

In a recent interview with host Wilmer Leon at the Inside the Issues show, former presidential candidate and United States House of Representatives Member Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) discussed how what Kucinich terms the “permanent government” has worked to ensure the United States continues pursuing destructive foreign interventions and to keep America “at the precipice of a much wider war” irrespective of who is president.

“There’s an unbroken line going back over the last 30 years where American presidents have continued to proceed with an interventionism that has been counterproductive,” states Kucinich. This “continued commitment to a failed foreign policy of interventionism, of unilateralism, of first strike,” Kucinich continues, “imperils America,” “does not make us safer,” “separates us from the world community,” “has people looking to extract vengeance on Americans,” and “has made the world a more dangerous place.”

Did Al Qaeda Dupe Trump on Syrian Attack?

A new United Nations-sponsored report on the April 4 sarin incident in an Al Qaeda-controlled town in Syria blames Bashar al-Assad’s government for the atrocity, but the report contains evidence deep inside its “Annex II” that would prove Assad’s innocence.

If you read that far, you would find that more than 100 victims of sarin exposure were taken to several area hospitals before the alleged Syrian warplane could have struck the town of Khan Sheikhoun.

Still, the Joint Investigative Mechanism [JIM], a joint project of the U.N. and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons [OPCW], brushed aside this startling evidence and delivered the Assad guilty verdict that the United States and its allies wanted.

‘America First!’ AWOL from Beijing, War with North Korea Looms

There’s no indication that President Donald Trump’s summit with China’s Xi Jinping achieved any breakthrough on North Korea. But why didn’t it? After all, Trump said that China could “fix” the North Korea problem “easily and quickly” and it was just a matter of Xi’s making up his mind to do so.

No less divorced from reality was Trump’s half-hearted pitch on the US trade imbalance with China. The problem, he said, was not the Chinese – whom he complimented on their cleverness in exploiting our stupidity – but on the flaccid policies of prior American administrations. Quite true! But what will he do differently? Not much it seems, except maybe give a big tax cut with no strings attached to fat corporations that are thrilled to keep moving their operations overseas. FLASHBACK - Memo to Obama: a Europe policy 3.0A WESS MITCHELL 11 November 2008

You will inherit a policy agenda for Europe that was conceived twenty years ago for a world that no longer exists. That agenda was built on three bedrock assumptions, all of which were then refreshingly new:

A Wess Mitchell is co-founder and director of research at the Center for European Policy Analysis, a Washington,DC-based foreign-policy institute

Also in openDemocracy:

John C Hulsman, "Memo to Obama: the middle east needs you" (11 November 2008) * that Russia was an enervated, status-quo power

* that Europe was unifying into an Atlanticist whole

* that American global - and therefore regional - power was virtually inexhaustible.

Working from these assumptions, your post-cold-war predecessors embarked upon one of the most successfully expansionist courses in the history of United States foreign policy, advancing the western ideological and institutional ambit by a space of half a million square miles in less than two decades.

State Department’s New Victoria Nuland… Is Just Like the Old Victoria Nuland!

Wess Mitchell became the Trump Administration’s top diplomat for Europe, “responsible for diplomatic relations with 50 countries in Europe and Eurasia, and with NATO, the EU and the OSCE.”

Readers will recall that the position was most recently held during the Obama Administration by Kagan family neocon, Victoria Nuland, who was key catalyst and cookie provider for the US-backed coup overthrowing the elected government in Ukraine. Victoria Nuland’s virulently anti-Russia position was a trademark of the neocon persuasion and she put ideology into action by “midwifing,” in her own words, an illegal change of government in Ukraine.

How the West built Berlin Wall 2.0

How ironic as the latest anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall is being commemorated this week, a new wall has been constructed between East and West.

It’s not a wall you can actually see, but it’s there all the same. Far from being thrown into the dustbin of history for eternity, the old Cold War divisions are now arguably more pronounced than they were in the 1980s. Russia, for daring to thwart Western regime plans for Syria, finds itself sanctioned by the US and EU, with NATO forces on its borders. A crude form of Russophobia, the acceptable form of liberal racism, has become normalized in elite circles in the West. At the same time, countries in the old communist bloc that don’t do exactly what their ‘democratic’ US and EU masters demand face harsh penalties for their insubordination, and the demonization of their leadership.

The Greatest Threat to Both Koreas? Donald Trump’s Mouth.

In policy terms, the Trump administration has approached North Korea largely the same way the Obama administration has – with a heavy reliance on sanctions, appeals to China, and occasional threats.

As John Feffer explains in this short video, the primary difference is that Trump’s threats have been far more alarming, raising concerns in South Korea and beyond that war is a real possibility, despite the fact that experts universally regard it as the worst possible option. These threats are especially dangerous on a peninsula where U.S. wartime actions left an indelible impression on both sides of the DMZ.

There remains, however, a diplomatic alternative, which the Obama administration never seriously pursued. Can Trump change course?

Sure, Establishment Ed Gillespie Didn’t Run On Trump’s Agenda. But Trump Isn’t Enacting His Agenda Either

immigration patriots, there’s a Narrative in place to explaining the crushing defeat of the GOP throughout Virginia on Tuesday night. “Establishment Ed” Gillespie, whose entire life story is a kind of Pilgrim’s Progress illustrating the utter pointlessness of the Beltway Right, didn’t push the Donald Trump agenda and so Trump’s voters didn’t turn out. True—but insufficient. A more disturbing explanation must be faced: President Trump has energized the Left but he’s not energizing the working-class voters who gave him victory—because he is not sufficiently delivering for them.

This is not to say Trump is responsible for Gillespie’s defeat. True, Gillespie, incredibly in view of his record, did flirt with immigration patriotism by highlighting opposition to Sanctuary Cities and MS-13. But even the victorious Democrat Ralph Northam was declaring he was opposed to Sanctuary Cities by the end of the campaign.>>>

North Korea Accuses Trump Of ‘Begging’ For Nuclear War

Trump’s 12-day Asia tour has, so far, focused primarily on containing the perceived North Korean threat, in the wake of the sixth nuclear test that the North carried out in September. As he continues his tour of the region, the US Navy together with Japanese and South Korean ships began massive naval drills in the Pacific.
***
During this tour, Trump repeatedly made clear that his patience to reach a peaceful settlement to the Korean crisis is running thin, and that a military option remains on the table. Speaking in South Korea, Trump said nuclear weapons do not make N. Korea safer but instead, places the “regime in grave danger.” Every step Pyongyang takes “down this dark path increases the peril you face.”

Trump Exploits NY Attacks to Promote Gitmo and Perpetual War

***
As is typical of governments, Trump is exploiting the impact of this horrific tragedy to further his administration's agenda of perpetual war and keeping Guantánamo open.

First off, sending Saipov to Guantánamo would likely be illegal, since he is a legal resident arrested on US soil. University of Texas law professor Stephen I. Vladeck points out, "Saipov was lawfully present in the United States at the time of his arrest and is therefore entitled to a full suite of constitutional protections -- especially those provided by the Fifth Amendment's due process clause." It'd be difficult for Trump to make the case, in court, for detaining a legal resident arrested on US soil at a military detention facility in Cuba.

The call to send Saipov to Guantánamo is especially curious when compared with Trump's reaction to another recent vehicular act of violence in the US: the racist attack in Charlottesville.>>>

The European Union and the United States on Wednesday reaffirmed support for Lebanon after the resignation of its prime minister, striking a sharp contrast to Saudi Arabia, which accuses Beirut of declaring war because of the Shi'ite group Hezbollah.

Statements of support from EU ambassadors to Lebanon and the United States have set a different tone to their Sunni Gulf ally Saudi Arabia, which has lumped Lebanon together with the Iran-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah as parties hostile to it.

Putin Ready for Bilateral Meeting With Trump on APEC Sidelines – Lavrov

The Russian foreign minister has commented on the possibility of a second meeting between Putin and Trump.

"We have heard [US President] Donald Trump’s announcements that he plans to hold a meeting with President Putin. Putin is ready for it, the US side is aware of this. Protocol officers are now in contact, and when the schedules of the leaders are finally clarified, I think, you will be informed," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters.

Commenting on Donald Trump’s recent call for the world community's collective isolation of North Korea, the Russian Foreign Minister said that the nuclear problem around Pyongyang could only be solved through a peace settlement.

Trump: Year One – Justin Raimondo

Trump is neither monster nor savior, and that is surely evident on this first anniversary of the Trump victory

As the one year anniversary of Trump’s triumph approaches, the pathetic remnants of American liberalism still haven’t recognized its meaning, or reconciled themselves to their loss of State power. They dream of impeachment, or even an outright coup: their contempt for the Great American Middle – “the deplorables!” – defines their politics, which, by now, are almost entirely negative: anti-Trump, anti-Russia, anti-bourgeois.

Trump Pentagon pick says its 'insane' for civilians to own semi-automatic weapons

No difference between Hillary and Trump now. Support America and the Constitution not corrupt politicians.

President Trump’s nominee to lead the military health system said Tuesday he thinks it is “insane” for civilians to be able to purchase semi-automatic rifles like the one a gunman used to kill 26 people at a Texas church.

Dean Winslow, a professor at Stanford University and retired Air Force colonel, made his remarks during his confirmation hearing in front of the Senate Armed Service committee, according to the Washington Examiner.

“I may get in trouble with other members of the committee just say how insane it is that in the United States of America a civilian can go out and buy a semi-automatic like an AR-15, which apparently was the weapon that was used,” Winslow said. “I think that's an issue not as much for this committee, but elsewhere.”

FILM WRONG! DILLINGER NOT KILLED BY FBI! FACT: HOOVER COVERUP!

by Jay Robert Nash

Will there never be an end to this? Probably not, since the FBI (and no one else) has ever refuted the FACTS (far beyond my theory) I presented in several books about the shooting at the Biograph Theater on July 22, 1934.

It was not out of Melvin Purvis' grandiosity, but his expediency to appease J. Edgar Hoover's grandiosity, that Purvis, the FBI agent in charge that night in Chicago, allowed the wrong man to be killed. You must know how all this worked in those days. When Hoover took over the Bureau in 1924, replacing William Burns, the Bureau was a corrupt instrument of the Harding administration, with FBI agents like Gaston Bullock Means conducting widespread blackmail and extortion from a corner office in the Bureau and Hoover had a hell of a time getting rid of Means and others.

Trump's Best New Policy in the Mideast Would Be No New Policy

President Trump’s stance on conflict in the Middle East is a mixture of bellicose threats and demonisation of opponents combined with rather more cautious and carefully calculated action or inaction on the ground. Leaders in Baghdad, Damascus, Riyadh and Tehran face the same problem as those in Tokyo and London, uncertain where the rhetoric ends and the reality begins and unsure if Trump himself distinguishes much between the two.

The debate about Trump in the Middle East does differ from that in the rest of the world in one important respect: the need for an answer here is more urgent because of the greater likelihood of a crisis, which Trump might provoke or exacerbate.

When he was first elected, the urgency seemed very great but there has been no major new crisis that put him to the test. For all his denunciations of President Obama for his supposedly feeble defence of American interests, US strategy in Iraq and Syria has remained very much the same.>>>

The second leg of his five-nation Asia trip includes a meeting with U.S. troops, a joint press briefing with President Moon Jae-in and an address to South Korea’s parliament. In contrast to Trump’s warm relationship with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, his dealings with Moon got off to rocky start due to differences over trade and dialogue with North Korea.

In the course of his tour of the Pacific, President Trump is talking up more US deployments in the region, and is asking Congress to tack another $5.9 billion in spending to the already record military budget for 2018.

This money is going to include $4 billion for even more missile defense systems on the Korean Peninsula. These appear to be additional THAAD anti-missile systems above and beyond the ones already announced.

Chickenhawk Donald: a Complete and Total Disgrace

Donald Trump styles himself “Commander in Chief.” As a candidate he called himself “the most militaristic person there is.” He “always felt that” he was in the military because his parents shipped him off to a military school as a teen to curb his bratty behavior. He loves military pomp and pageantry. But he actively avoided military reality when it counted.

Instead of enlisting and putting his vaunted warrior spirit to the test during Vietnam, Trump took five draft deferments: Four for college and one on a claim of “bone spurs” in his feet (they hadn’t stopped him from participating in athletics, of course).

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t blame Trump for avoiding Vietnam. I blame him for not learning a little bit of humility from his experience.

Monday, November 6, 2017, marks the five-year anniversary of the glorious back day in 2012 when Colorado and Washington voted to become the first two US states to legalize recreational cannabis.

Since then, the data generated by those two states have refuted pretty much every dire fear that the nation’s drug warriors predicted would come to pass. Legalizing and regulating cannabis has made for a safer and more just society, while ushering in the beginning of the end of a costly, massively corrupt, and wholly counterproductive war on a largely beneficial plant.

Report: Trump Privately Blames Jared Kushner for Mueller’s Indictments

On a phone call Tuesday with Breitbart News Executive Chairman and former White House Chief Strategist Stephen K. House Rules Committee Guts Challenge to Yemen War Legality

House Concurrent Resolution 81 is effectively dead, following a surprise bit of sleight of hand by the House Rules Committee. The resolution demanded an end to US involvement in the Saudi invasion of Yemen, on the grounds that such involvement was never authorized under the War Powers Act.

Under the War Powers Act, any Congressman is able to bring such a legal challenge, and is guaranteed a floor vote on the matter. The H.Con.Res. 81 challenge was offered in early October, and delayed until November 2.

November 1 rolled around, however, and House leadership quickly forced through a Rules Committee vote which changed the rules on H.Con.Res. 81, stripping it of its privileged status (which would have guaranteed a floor vote). Though the War Powers Act guarantees such a resolution privilege, the Rules Committee claimed Yemen doesn’t rise to the level of the War Powers Act applying.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"...the Rules Committee claimed Yemen doesn’t rise to the level of the War Powers Act applying.", MY ASTROLABE!!

So, the House Rules Committee is, collectively, completely MORALLY comfortable with the US military colluding in Saudi war crimes in Yemen?!?

Because this is precisely what is going on in this country!!

FACT: Saudi bombing runs are killing and maiming civilians, children, women, and the medically fragile elderly.

Images: Yemeni children killed and maimed for life by Saudi bombing runs

FACT: Due to the US/Saudi blockade of Yemeni ports, food cannot get in, leading to massive deaths from complications of malnutrition, primarily of Yemen's children:
Images: Yemeni children dying from complications of malnutrition

FACT: To add insult to injury, the Yemeni people are now suffering one of the worst outbreaks of cholera (possibly weaponised) ever witnessed in the 21st century.

Images: Yemeni childrn dying of cholera

FACT: due to exposure to DU weapons the Saudi military have used in Yemen, there has been a massive uptick in severe deformities, massive cancers, and stillbirths in Yemeni children.

Images: Yemeni children born with severe birth deformities due to exposure to Depleted Uranium in the womb.

This is all being done in your names, and with your tax dollars, folks.

Constitutionally, only Congress can declare war; this Rules Committee decision is not only wretchedly morally wrong, but also demonstrates a pig-ignorant interpretation, and understanding, of the War Powers Act.

That the US government is enabling the Butcher of Yemen, Prince Salman, in this genocide in Yemen, is an absolute affront to human decency, and as a Christian pacifist activist, I will keep bearing witness to these Saudi crimes in Yemen as long as I am breathing.

RUSSIA'S PUTIN REVEALS HIS BIGGEST MISTAKE: TRUSTING THE WEST

37 Percent Rate Increase In 2018??? Obamacare Is Imploding And It Must Be Repealed Now!

Are you ready to pay 37 percent more for health insurance in 2018? Obamacare is imploding faster than most of us imagined, and these rate increases are absolutely killing hard working middle class families all across the country. I wrote about the steady erosion of the middle class yesterday, and health insurance is one of the main reasons why the cost of living is increasing at a much faster rate than our paychecks are. It greatly frustrates me that we have given the Republicans control of the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives and Obamacare still has not been repealed. The truth is that should have happened on day one of the Trump presidency.

Playing With (Nuclear) Fire: Why Renewal of B-52 On-Alert Status is So Dangerous

All this week, conflicting reports have been floating around about US plans to put their fleet of nuclear-armed B-52 strategic bombers back on round-the-clock combat alert, something unseen since the end of the Cold War. Sputnik contributor Vladimir Barsegyan explains why such a move would dramatically increase the dangers of a nuclear incident.

Living in a Car on $800 a Month

Trillions to kill people and nothing for Americans. The USA is a failed state.

Today we meet Dee, who is living in her car on $800 a month. She tried renting an apartment but found it impossible. After paying rent, she had so little money left over her quality of life was tragically low. But, by living in her car, all that money is available for her to live and thrive on so she isn't just surviving and enduring life. She's done a brilliant job of making the car livable by taking out some seats, let's see how...

The JFK Cover-Up Continues

Ever since the assassination, the CIA has argued that the release of any of its JFK records would threaten “national security.” One thing is for sure and undeniable: Despite the release of many of the CIA’s records in the 1990s and yesterday, the United States did not fall into the ocean or fall to the communists. And neither would it have done so if Trump had not granted the CIA’s request for a continued cover-up of what it did on November 22, 1963.

UN On Khan Sheikhoun - Victims Hospitalized BEFORE Claimed Incident Happened

A UN commission concluded that the Syrian government is responsible for a widely discussed incident in Khan Sheikhoun. An alleged gas attack by air happened in April in an al-Qaeda controlled area in Syria. It was used by the White House to justify its bombing of a Syrian airbase. The now released report was made to fit the narrative. The details below show that it was not the result of a

Asymmetric Warfare Group Lessons Learned from Modern Urban Operations from 1980 to the Present

Urban warfare is not a new phenomenon. The U.S. Army saw urban combat in the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Civil War, and elsewhere. Starting with World War II, overall armed conflict began to occur around centers with a high population density. This new backdrop for conflict has caused a whole new set of challenges, especially in an era of public scrutiny. The “Army’s capacity to engage, fight, and win major urban combat operations will determine the success of future operational and strategic endeavors.”

Trump: "Uranium deal to Russia, with Clinton help and Obama Administration knowledge, is the biggest story that Fake Media doesn't want to follow!"

President Donald Trump called the Obama administration’s approval of the 2010 sale of American uranium to a Russian-backed company a “modern-age” Watergate.

Trump Justice Department: Wars are off limits to court review

A Trump administration attorney said Friday that federal courts cannot evaluate whether a president is waging an illegal war, even if the war clearly has no grounding in a congressional authorization of force and someone directly impacted sues.

The claim was made during oral arguments in an appeal filed by Nathan Michael Smith, a now-former Army intelligence analyst who sued last year claiming former President Barack Obama was illegally fighting Islamic State terrorists without an authorization for use of military force, or AUMF, from Congress.

Smith, who left active-duty military service in June, supports fighting the jihadi group, but argues doing so has not been properly authorized by Congress. “For me, it’s not a partisan issue,” he told the Washington Examiner outside a courtroom in the nation's capital. "Procedure matters, if we're a nation of laws.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Smith is entirely correct in his assessment; unfortunately, however, the brutally sad truth is, the Occupied Unhinged Surveilled State of Amerika is no longer really a nation of laws; it is a nation of Deep State Agendas, and false narratives by which these agendas are accomplished.

These agendas are most generally about regime changing governments which are not US-centric; replacing those governments with personnel who are US-centric; expropriating that country's natural resources to which this government has utterly no moral right; and insuring that those resources are only sold in US dollars.

Repeat.

False flag operations are routinely used as a weapon of US statescraft to blame another country for something it absolutely did not do, then declare war against it, based on that lie.

Remember the Bush administration lied to the US and the world, that "Saddam Hussein had wepaons of mass destruction" , as the basis for attacking it, assassinating Hussein, making sure that its government was Western -centric, and that its oil was only sold in US dollars?!?

Remember how the Bush administration lied to the American people and the world about the reasons the US military and NATO "had to go into Afghanistan", when this now-16 years old war was really about controlling the pipelines, its mineral wealth, and its opium, which is now used to fund off the shelf, US Alphabet Soup Agencies activities over which Congress has utterly no oversight?!?

Remember when President Johnson lied to the American people and the world about the "Gulf of Tonkin" incident, as the lie to justify massive attacks on North Vietnam?!? Remember the endless "body counts" obediently regurgitated by corporate presstitutes, to give the American people the sense that American was actully winning that war, when it was simply an excuse to grind up more American soldiers and military hardware, to the US's military/industrial complex's delight, because they had to keep replacing machinery.

Times have changed; but unfortunately, the US Deep State agenda never does.

George Washington's Church Says Plaque Honoring First President Must Come Down

Leaders at the church that George Washington attended decided that a plaque honoring the first president of the United States must be removed.

Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia will take down a memorial marking the pew where Washington sat with his family, saying it is not acceptable to all worshipers.

“The plaques in our sanctuary make some in our presence feel unsafe or unwelcome," leaders said, a reference to the fact that Washington was a slaveholder.

JFK Files: The Truth Behind the Farce

by Clifford Shack
(henrymakow.com)

The American people have been promised the release of all the classified documents on the JFK assassination. It ain't never going to happen.

But that's ok. Just connect the dots. Those of us who have, know, that solving the whodunit aspect of the assassination is just the beginning. The real, meaty story lies in the motive. Since the assassination 54 years ago, millions of published research hours allow us to piece the story together in the context of that time.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand the basics of the case. Those with a minimal degree of understanding know that the CIA was clearly behind the assassination. Most of the guys involved in planning the assassination lived blocks away from Kennedy when he lived in McClean, Virginia.

JFK Assassination Triggered More Than Kennedy’s Death

Author and journalist David Talbot has spent years examining and writing about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and its connection to broader US politics. In his conversation with WhoWhatWhy’s Jeff Schechtman, he makes the case that the cynicism from decades of lies about JFK, Martin Luther King, Watergate, and many more seminal events in recent US history is to blame in part for the divisions and the distrust of government we are witnessing today.

US ‘Empire of Debt’ will go to war to stop emergence of petro-yuan – Max Keiser

The imminent introduction of oil trading in yuan is a very bold move by the Chinese, because the US will not give up the basis of its hegemony – the dollar as the world’s reserve currency – without a fight, Max Keiser, host of RT’s financial program ‘Keiser Report' has said.

The Chinese plan to roll out a yuan-denominated oil contract before the end of this year is a very brave move, since countries who “tried to exit the oil-dollar matrix have met terrible ends,” Keiser pointed out.

“Saddam Hussein wanted to trade oil in Euros and he was killed, Muammar Gaddafi wanted to trade his energy in something other than the US dollar – he was killed,” Keiser said.

TRUMP BOWS TO NEOCONS, NETANYAHU

President Donald Trump’s new Iran policy clearly represents a dangerous rejection of diplomacy in favor of confrontation. But it’s more than that: It’s a major shift toward a much closer alignment of U.S. policy with that of the Israeli government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Whether explicitly or not, Trump’s vow to work with Congress to renegotiate the Iran nuclear agreement, and his explicit threat to withdraw from the deal if no renegotiation takes place, appear to be satisfying the hardline demands Netanyahu has made of Washington’s policy toward Tehran.

The Deep State and Brits colluded on Trump dossier to make Russia toxic

The document and false claims of Trump-Russia collusion form the impetus of the appointment of Robert Mueller to investigate the baseless Trump-Russia collusion charges. As a result of the dossier, the Trump campaign was wiretapped before and after the election and Russia became too toxic for Trump to continue his friendly overtures. If Richard Nixon could go to China, and Ronald Reagan could go the Soviet Union at the height of the Cold War, why couldn’t Trump go to Russia and broker a peace. Isn’t peace a better alternative? Not for the Deep State.

Checkpoint: The Air Force hasn’t used nuclear ‘alert pads’ since the Cold War. Now they’re being upgraded.

The U.S. military is building new flightline facilities that will enable the Air Force to position pilots and aircrews directly alongside its nuclear-capable B-52 bombers, but officials deny the move is part of any plan to put the warplanes on indefinite alert in response to tensions with North Korea.

The construction at Louisiana’s Barksdale Air Force Base includes building renovations near long-vacant “alert pads,” where during the Cold War aircraft capable of carrying nuclear weapons once sat ready on a continual basis. So-called strip alerts were discontinued in 1991 after the Soviet Union’s collapse.

In an interview published Sunday by Defense One, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein called the construction a step toward ensuring the military is prepared for all possibilities. The service is “not planning for any specific event, but more for the reality of the global situation we find ourselves in and how we ensure we’re prepared going forward,” he said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don't know about you, but reading this story makes the hair on the back of my head stand up straight, and pay attention...something my hair rarely does!!

What is most curious about the article, is that there is no completion date given for this construction, so one has to wonder: how imminent is the use of these facilities, post construction?!?

Has it just begun, or has it been underway for some time, and nearly ready to be utilized?!? And I have checked the net to see if there is any indication of an end date to this construction, and can find none.

Bolton thinks the current move on the JCPOA is essentially for show: the deal is unsalvageable. His plan, backed by extreme hardliners like Frank Gaffney, calls for discussing military options with Israel against Iran and backing Kurdish national aspirations, which is a nonstarter for Iran, Turkey and the Shia-dominated government in Iraq; Bolton was spotted entering the White House on Monday.

New Money Laundering Probe Targets Former Trump Campaign Chairman

A Tuesday report in the Wall Street Journal states that a new money laundering investigation has been opened.

Sources told the newspaper that the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office is now pursuing an investigation into Manafort, adding to state and federal probes relating to the former Trump aide.

The investigation by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York is being done in collaboration with special counsel Robert Mueller’s own probe into possible laundering by Manafort, according to the Journal.

More and more, it’s beginning to look like Manafort has been the main target of Robert Mueller’s probe, all along.

Manafort has a long, checkered history of questionable entanglements, often with foreign entities.
