#NotMyPresident ~~ PEACE OR PIECES IN THE MIDDLE EAST?

President Trump was in Saudi Arabia where he instructed his puppets. Now
he is in apartheid Israel where he will get further instructions from his masters.
He will do a token visit to Bethlehem Tuesday and desecrate the city of the
Prince of Peace with his entourage of racist Zionists.

Everyone now knows that the US government, Israel, and the Saudi
regime have been the biggest perpetrators of terrorism and genocide in the
world. This is to serve one interest and one interest only: money. Just to
emphasize this, the US arms industry (owned largely by Zionists) will get
110 billion deal (bribe) from the Saudis. Kushner is very happy as are all
the rich profiteers around Donald Trump. The neoconservatives in Washington
may have some differences among themselves (hence the frenzy by the
establishment media around Russia-Trump connections). But make no mistake
about it, it is a difference as between rival gangsters. Meanwhile the

Rubio warns the White House not to make Israeli, Palestinian relations worse to broker peace

Sen. Marco Rubio warned the White House on Tuesday to be careful not to make negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians worse in an effort to broker peace.

“I think it’s a very noble endeavor. I think the White House and the president need to be careful that in an effort to make things better, we [don’t] end up making things worse,” Mr. Rubio, Florida Republican, said on CNN.

President Trump said during his trip to Israel this week that he believes “the Palestinians are ready for peace” and that he is “personally committed” to help the two groups reach a peace agreement.

Mr. Rubio pointed out that many U.S. administrations have tried to bring peace talks between the two groups, but none has had long-term success.

New French President ‘Will Not Recognise Palestine’

Newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron has reiterated that he will not recognise Palestine as a state as it would hinder good relations between Israel and France.

Prior to his election win, Macron said he backs a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and that recognising Palestine would cause instability and he would not risk France’s relationship with Israel to serve the Palestinian agenda. At a political rally Macron said:

Unilateral recognition of Palestine, right now, will undermine stability,

That’s right. France’s new liberal president would rather maintain good relations with Israel than recognize “Palestine.”

Israeli Justice Minister Slams White House Map of Israel for Not Including West Bank

With President Trump’s visit already riling several other members of Israel’s far-right government related to whether the Western Wall, which Israel captured militarily in 1967, is occupied, Israeli Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked found a new reason to be outraged, the map of Israel that the White House has been circulating ahead of Trump’s trip.

The White House map is accurate, and that’s the problem from Shaked’s perspective, as she was expecting the White House map to recognize all of the occupied territories, every scrap of the West Bank and the Golan Heights, as Israeli territory.

Jared Kushner, Charged With Making ‘Ultimate Deal,’ Has Ties In Israel

Despite having no experience, Kushner has been charged with perhaps the most implausible task related to the president’s first overseas visit: striking a deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

Kushner has organized much of the president’s first overseas trip, including the crafting of the $110 billion defense deal with the Saudis. But compared to Saudi Arabia, where the president was lauded with a multi-story self portrait and a gold medal, the scene in Israel is decidedly tenser, after reports said that Trump voluntarily offered up Israeli intelligence to the Russians earlier this month.

Kushner, an Orthodox Jew, has not helped inspire confidence in his impartiality, having failed to disclose multiple professional ties with Israel that may compromise his position as an impartial broker.

Lauder vs. Adelson: Which Jewish billionaire has Trump’s ear on Israel?

Who does the first billionaire president go to when he wants real-deal advice? Other billionaires, naturally.

Much has been made of how President Donald Trump has stacked his Cabinet with billionaires, and how he takes off-campus advice from investor Carl Icahn, fellow real estate developer Tom Barrack and media moguls Christopher Ruddy and Rupert Murdoch.

The same goes for his Israel advice: Trump, according to reports, takes calls on the issue from Sheldon Adelson, the casino magnate, and Ronald Lauder, the cosmetics heir and the president of the World Jewish Congress. Both are major supporters of Jewish and pro-Israel causes.

The wrinkle is that Adelson and Lauder seem to be at odds on what they’re telling the president. Lauder, reportedly, is pressing Trump to court Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Adelson, reportedly, wants him to focus on moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem and discounts the Palestinians as reliable peace partners.

International campaign is criminalizing criticism of Israel as ‘antisemitism’

For two decades, some Israeli officials and Israel partisans have worked to embed a new, Israel-focused definition of antisemitism in institutions around the world, from international bodies and national governments to small college campuses in heartland America. US diplomats say Western Wall is in West Bank, and Nikki Haley backpedals

Well the story is that the diplomats stationed at the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem refused to hold talks with Israeli officials about arrangements for U.S. President Donald Trump’s planned visit to the Western Wall during his trip to Israel next week. The diplomats claimed that the site is in the West Bank, and therefore the Israeli government has no authority over it, as Haaretz noted.

Oh boy, you can imagine what a storm that was. The Israeli officials found the position simply “unacceptable”, and the Israeli Prime Minister Office was “astonished”. Israel quickly demanded an explanation from the White House, which hastened to say that

“These comments, if true, were not authorized by the White House. They do not reflect the U.S. position, and certainly not the President’s position.”

The Balfour Declaration – A Century of Jewish Power

This year, Palestinians and their supporters mark the 100th anniversary of The Balfour Declaration, a written statement from the United Kingdom's Foreign Secretary, Arthur James Balfour, to Walter Rothschild, a leader of the British Jewish community, in favour of the establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine.

For Palestinians, The Balfour Declaration was the beginning of their plight: a century of ethnic cleansing at the hands of European newcomers who claim Palestine as their historic home. Yet, for some reason, supporters of the Palestinians are desperate to suppress discussion of the motivation for the Balfour Declaration - how and why did it come about?

Refugee return to Palestine is practical as well as just

Monday is the day Palestinians mark the 69th anniversary of the Nakba, the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians by Zionist militias before, during and after the founding of Israel in 1948.

This new infographic from Visualizing Palestine starkly illustrates how many Palestinian villages were violently depopulated by the forerunners of the Israeli army in 1948.

Between 1947 and 1949, more than 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly removed by Zionist militias creating the Jewish-majority state of Israel and quite literally wiping Palestine off the map.

In violation of every norm of international law and of UN resolutions, Israel has for decades actively blocked these refugees and their descendents from returning to their homes.

Fidget spinner was invented to stop Palestinian kids from throwing rocks at Israelis

Do we have Palestinian rock throwers to thank for the fidget spinner?

The inventor of the ubiquitous stress-reducing toy says she came up with the idea during a trip to Israel in the 1980s, during the First Intifada, as a way to distract the “young boys throwing rocks at police officers.”

Catherine Hettinger told CNN Money last week that she first brainstormed the gadget while visiting her sister in the Jewish state and hearing about the clashes between Palestinian youth and Israeli security.

She first considered designing a “soft rock that kids could throw,” according to CNN Money.

“It started as a way of promoting peace,” Hettinger said.

But soon after, upon returning home to Orlando, Florida, Hettinger put together the first fidget spinner — a propeller-like toy that spins around a center bearing.

Gaza's Health Ministry warns: Palestinian Authority to stop sending medicine, baby formula to hospitals

‘This decision has destructive implications for the chronically ill and children,’ a ministry official says, adding he sees Ramallah's decision as a political one.

The Palestinian Authority is to stop providing medicines and baby formula to hospitals in the Gaza Strip, which could have disastrous consequences for residents in the Strip, the Health Ministry in Gaza warned Tuesday.

The director general of the Gazan Health Ministry’s pharmacy department, Dr. Munir al-Bursh, was quoted on a number of Palestinian websites identified with Hamas as saying this was a political decision. He is in contact with senior officials in the Health Ministry in the West Bank to determine the meaning of the decision – which was announced by Ramallah on Tuesday – and how long it will be in effect, he said.

Israeli soldier gives 74-year-old Palestinian woman water then shoots her in the head

During the Israeli bombardment and shelling of the Gaza Strip last summer, an Israeli soldier approached a 74-year-old Palestinian woman Ghalya Abu-Rida to give her a sip of water. He gave her the water, took a photo with her and then he shot her in the head from a distance of one metre. He then watched as she bled to death, the Palestine Information Centre reported.

Will the Second American Civil War Eventually Turn Violent? (Video)

The political divide in our nation has grown so large that it has become a chasm. And with a chasm of such magnitude, could we see another second ‘civil war’, this time between the left and the right? Violence has already entered the fray, only this time it’s only flowing one way: from the left to the right. And the authorities are doing absolutely nothing to stop it.

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at the current state of affairs between the left and the right today. Out of fear of being shamed by left wing liberal media, authority figures are too afraid to do anything to clamp down on violent left wing mobs. Worse still, we see elected officials such as the mayor of Berkeley give direct support for such mob tactics. What will all these lead to?

Hamas has presented a new political document that accepts the formation of a Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, without recognising the statehood of Israel, and says that the conflict in Palestine is not a religious one.

The positions were made official on Monday in Qatar's capital, Doha, by Khaled Meshaal, the leader-in-exile of the Palestinian group that runs the besieged Gaza Strip.

"We shall not waive an inch of the Palestinian home soil, no matter what the recent pressures are and no matter how long the occupation," Meshaal said as he revealed the document to the public after two years of work.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. Meshaal, a word, please. This document does not take into account the current, and most probably permanent, facts on the ground here.

For many years, at this blog, I warned Fattah and Hamas, that unless they spoke with one voice representing the Palestinian people, that they would ultimately not prevail against the Israeli government, and that the Palestinian state, if it ever was ever allowed to come into being, would be smaller than Lichtenstein or Andorra.

Recent history has proven me correct on this warning.

And now, the Jewish-only settlements have been engineered in such a way, in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, that a contiguous State of Palestine is now impossible.

Israel announces plans for 15,000 more settlement homes in East Jerusalem

And after two years of work, this document was the best you could do for the situation of the Palestinian people?!?!? I am, sir, frankly, thoroughly appalled.

This document has utterly no basis in reality; no Middle Eastern country would, singly, or in concert, dare to take on Israel militarily, although many in leadership roles in the Middle East talk a" good game".

Gilad Atzmon - The Post Political Condition - What Next?

Despite the desperate attempts by Jewish ethnic activists to sabotage the Post Political Conference at Theatre 80, the intellectual gathering was a great success. I would also want to express my gratitude to Joe Friendly who has been documenting NYC dissent for many years. Last but not least, my admiration to the supporters of freedom who joined us last Sunday.

Israeli settler rams car into 4 year old Palestinian child

Welcome to Judea central. According to local sources, an Israeli settler rammed his car into four-year-old Palestinian child Murad al-Razem, near Qufeisha residential building, in central al-Khalil. The Israeli attacker fled the scene, leaving the child bleeding on the ground. The difference between Israel and the west, is that here this happens by accident... in Israel, they do it intentionally.

Update From the East Village Battlefront

Things are warming up in Manhattan East Village ahead of our 30 April Conference at Theatre 80. Theatre owner Lorcan Otway, keeps holding a firm position: he announced again and again that he won’t surrender to calls for censorship. I spent some time with this heroic, scholarly oriented human being. He deserves every possible support. If it isn’t for me, be there on Sunday at 5PM to support Lorcan and his staunch position on freedom and the 1st Amendment.

Meanwhile The Villager confirms that some Antifas may appear in the scene. Considering the reputation the Antifa bought itself in recent years, this news should be probably interpreted as a form of intimidation.

However, The Villager also published yesterday a beautiful interview with human rights Lawyer Stanley Cohen who participates in the event. I repost this interview in full. Please share it widely.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Dismantling the distortion about Israel

What are the 10 myths? Pappe divides the book into three sections: “Fallacies of the Past,” “Fallacies of the Present” and “Looking Ahead.” The six myths of the past include the well-known saying, “a land without a people for a people without a land,” the conflation of Zionism and Judaism, Zionism as a national liberation movement and the alleged voluntary flight of Palestinians during the 1948 war.

The three myths of the present era are the claim that Israel is a democracy, that the Oslo accords represented a genuine peace process rather than a “ploy to deepen the occupation” and that Israel’s multiple attacks on Gaza were simply acts of self-defense.

INTERVIEW ~~ SUPPORT FOR PALESTINIAN HUNGER STRIKERS CONTINUES TO GROW

couple of days ago, the leader of al Fatah, Marwan Barghouti, published his shocking article on New York Times. He had just started a legendary protest, called the “struggle of the empty stomachs”. Marwan has been able to start an extended non-violent struggle of at least 1.300 prisoners in Israeli prisons, a hunger strike. The objective is to show their reality to the rest of the world, and to make people understand what is going on in this land of denied rights. In his article published by New York Times Marwan attacks the Israeli military forces by using very hard words. The Zionist regime is responsible for the total absence and/or the daily violation of human rights, for daily physical and psychological torture, and also for bad food.

Clashes erupt across West Bank as thousands protest in solidarity with hunger-striking prisoners

Clashes erupted between Palestinians and Israeli forces, with at least one Palestinian being detained, across the occupied West Bank on Friday, as Palestinians from several districts staged solidarity protests with hunger-striking Palestinian prisoners, who entered the fifth day of the mass “Freedom and Dignity” strike on Friday.

Initially called for by Fatah-affiliated prisoners, Palestinian prisoners from across the political spectrum have since pledged their commitment to undertake the strike, with the media committee of the “Freedom and Dignity” strike estimating on Tuesday that some 1,500 prisoners were forgoing food.

The hunger strikers have denounced the torture, ill treatment, and medical neglect of Palestinian prisoners at the hands of Israeli authorities, as well as Israel’s widespread use of administrative detention -- internment without trial or charges -- which is only permitted under international law in extremely limited circumstances.

Barcelona votes to be free of Israeli apartheid

Barcelona city council passed a historic declaration on Wednesday upholding the right to boycott Israel over its violations of Palestinian rights.

The motion condemns Israel’s occupation of Palestinian land, calls for the immediate end to the decade-long Gaza blockade and ensures that the city’s public procurement policies exclude companies that profit from Israel’s human rights abuses.

It also admonishes Israel for its intransigence in the face of repeated warnings from the international community to stop its illegal colonization of Palestinian land, according to the Catalan daily Ara.

The council recognizes “nonviolent campaigns promoted by Palestinian and international civil society for defending international and human rights law in Palestine” – a clear nod to the BDS movement.

NIKKI HALEY HUMILIATES AMERICA, GROVELS BEFORE ISRAEL AT AIPAC SUMMIT

In an unparalleled display of fealty and subservience, the United States’ Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, sat before an AIPAC (American-Israeli Political Action Committee) and proclaimed all the horrors visited upon the Zionist settler state under the Obama administration as well as all the things the United States has done to support Israel since Trump came to power. In other words, she set up a perfect representation of the narrative that has existed all along; i.e. despite the fact that the Obama administration was an unwavering supporter of Israel, giving historical amounts of money and assistance to the settler state, pledging loyalty to the colony, and actively helping to destroy Israel’s self-made enemies, Obama is still considered a “weak” supporter of Israel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

She is obviously acutely aware that this complete, callous, and utter disregard for Palestinian human rights will serve her well, in her future career, and is precisely the posture President Trump wants her to take at the UN.

Palestinian Security Forces Capture Two Undercover Israeli Soldiers, Hand Them Back To Israel

Palestinian security forces briefly detained two undercover Israeli army soldiers who were conducting a military raid in the Rafidiya area of the northern occupied West Bank city of Nablus on Saturday evening, according to official Palestinian and Israeli sources.

The two were taken to a Palestinian police station in Nablus. An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed the incident to Ma’an, saying that during an Israeli army “activity,” the officers were “briefly questioned by Palestinian security forces,” adding that in coordination with the Israeli Civil Administration, the soldiers were returned to Israeli custody.

According to Israeli daily Haaretz, the two soldiers — members of an Arabic-speaking unit of the Israeli army known as the “Mustarabeen” in Arabic, who are responsible for infiltrating and carrying out detentions in Palestinian communities — “scuffled” with Palestinian police officers for some time before they were returned to Israeli forces.

Israel Admits It ‘Lost’ the Remains of Seven Palestinian Terrorists

Israel has admitted that it lost the remains of seven Palestinians who carried out acts of terror during the second intifada. The admission came in a response by the State Prosecutor’s Office to petitions filed in the High Court of Justice by the individuals’ families, demanding the return of the bodies.

Presumably, the number of people whose burial places are unknown is actually far higher: At a High Court session last month, prosecutors said that of 123 requests submitted by Palestinian families up to 2015 and included in a different petition, only two bodies had been located. A number of Israeli legal and military officials say they believe the state has no information about the whereabouts of many of the bodies. In a few cases, the remains had been in Israel’s possession since the 1990s.

Hamas would accept a sovereign Palestinian state across the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital without recognising Israel, according to the leaked draft of a document on the organisation's stragety.

AlMayadeen, a pro-Hezbollah Beirut-based TV channel, leaked a copy of the document on Monday, which reestablishes Hamas’ goals and ideological tenets.

Although the document refers to Palestine as the land between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan river, it says the group considers a state in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip a “national consensus formula” while emphasising the return of displaced Palestinians and their descendants.

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were forced to leave their land ahead of the establishment of Israel in 1948.

Britain hands over embassy to Israel’s war industry

Does Britain conceal the full extent of its support for Israel?

Warsi should be commended for raising an important issue – just as she did when resigning as a government minister over Britain’s refusal to condemn the 2014 bombing of Gaza.

Yet Britain provides more direct assistance to Israel than allowing Londoners and Mancunians join a foreign army.

One example of that assistance has avoided scrutiny: Britain’s embassy in Tel Aviv has hired senior players in Israel’s weapons industry.

US judge throws out key claim against academic boycott of Israel

Israel and its surrogates suffered a significant defeat last week, when a federal court in Washington, DC, threw out a key claim in a lawsuit against the American Studies Association for its resolution to boycott Israeli academic institutions.

The lawsuit, filed by current and former members of the ASA last year, argued that the 2013 resolution was a breach of contract because it did not fall within the scope of the group’s mission.

The complaint appeared to be a test of a new lawfare tactic that accuses an entity of acting beyond its chartered purpose – a claim that it is acting ultra vires, in legal language.

Anti-Palestinian activists hoped the strategy could be used to thwart other academic groups adopting boycott resolutions.

But US District Judge Rudolph Contreras dismissed the claim on 31 March, writing that the boycott resolution was enacted “in furtherance of the ASA’s purpose of advancing education and the promotion of the study of American culture.”

In Israel, the eliminationist camp is already in charge

Israel may invest great resources in efforts to present itself to the world as a light unto the nations, an exemplary state that deserves to be supported and even emulated. But as I reveal in the video, with words and images, the exact opposite is often the case.

I survey some of the seediest scandals that plagued Israeli society in 2016. Many of these were covered extensively by The Electronic Intifada and by this writer specifically, but otherwise received little attention from other media outlets.

The talk focuses on top Israeli leaders who blame their society’s ills on indigenous Palestinians, African refugees and leftist Jews, on the violent vigilantes that this hate speech inspires and on the large swath of the general public that embraces these racists, inciters and attackers.

But this not merely a retrospective of 2016. Focusing on Israel’s misconduct, the lecture also includes original analysis and hopefully a fresh perspective on the situation.
