A couple who had sex in a Domino's pizza delivery shop are facing prison after they were caught on CCTV committing "lewd and obscene" acts.
Daniella Hirst, 28 and Craig Smith, 31, were waiting for their stuffed crust pizza when they let their "exuberant spirits get the better of them", a court heard.

An X-rated 18-minute clip shows Hirst performing a sex act on Smith up against the counter while several members of staff prepare food.

Tillerson State Dept. Demanding Israel Hand Back Millions in U.S. Military Aid

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has been pushing the Trump White House to demand that Israel give back to the United States millions of dollars in military aid, prompting pushback in the West Wing and further fueling ongoing tensions between Foggy Bottom and the White House over a range of key diplomatic issues, according to multiple sources briefed on the situation.

The Washington Free Beacon first reported on Friday that the State Department has been lobbying the White House to call for Israel to hand back some $75 million in U.S. military aid that was awarded to the Jewish state above the Obama administration’s financial request in 2016.

The Bombast of Nikki Haley

She’s a lightweight, and a warmongering globalist.

As Governor of South Carolina, and a member of that state’s House of Representatives, Haley’s foreign policy experience is absolutely nil. Nor does her degree in accounting from Clemson University inspire confidence. Her record thus far has consisted of giving voice to the neoconservative tendency in the GOP – the very people Trump defeated in the GOP primaries. The conventional Republican foreign policy clichés we’ve heard for years pour forth from her mouth like vomit from a drunk. Her recent speech before the American Enterprise Institute on the nuclear deal with Iran is a perfect case in point.

America’s Jews Are Driving America’s Wars

We don’t need a war with Iran because Israel wants one and some rich and powerful American Jews are happy to deliver. Seriously, we don’t need it.

They have been very successful at faking the Iranian threat, so much so that nearly all Republican and most Democratic congressmen as well as much of the media seem to be convinced that Iran needs to be dealt with firmly, most definitely by using the U.S. military, and the sooner the better.

And while they are doing it, the issue that nearly all the Iran haters are Jewish has somehow fallen out of sight, as if it does not matter. But it should matter.

Mystery in Salt Lake City: where have hundreds of homeless people gone?

The streets around Salt Lake City’s downtown emergency shelter have long been home to hundreds of homeless people. In recent weeks, though, nearly all seem to have vanished following a police operation. Local residents are mystified as to where they’ve gone.

The Salt Lake City police chief, Mike Brown, said he had visited parks and the Jordan river, which threads its way to the Great Salt Lake and has homeless camps dotted along its banks, but he hadn’t seen an influx from downtown. Sgt Brandon Shearer has been up in a police helicopter looking for camps and seemed equally perplexed when asked where the people had gone. “I don’t know,” he said. “That’s a good question.”

Limbaugh lauds Trump's NK speech, compares to Truman's Hiroshima talk: ‘CNN girlie boys’ losing it’

Limbaugh, however, felt that the president’s comments were spot-on.

Slamming the media for their hyped-up rhetoric over Trump’s concise speech, Limbaugh said, “I’ll tell you, Rex Tillerson, you hear what Tillerson’s saying? Tillerson says, ‘Sleep easy. There’s nothing here. There’s nothing gonna happen here. Don’t worry about it.’ I understand exactly what he’s talking about. We’re dealing with media-created frames of mind, states of mind here”

“The North Koreans have been who they are for months,” he continued. “The North Koreans have been launching missiles for months. The North Koreans have been doing this and testing this. They’ve been failing at everything they’ve been trying for months.”

Russia Expresses Distrust to US Over Helicopters Carrying ISIS in Afghanistan

The Russian presidential special envoy for Afghanistan expressed his distrust of "unidentified helicopters" in the country to his US counterpart.

UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) — Russian presidential special envoy for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov said Thursday that during a meeting in New York with his US counterpart Alice Wells, he expressed his distrust regarding the issue of "unidentified helicopters" in the north of Afghanistan that were transferring Daesh and their ammunition.

"Among the problems that we have, I identified the distrust that we have in connection with these mysterious helicopters transferring ISIL [Daesh] militants, their weapons, ammunition," Kabulov said.

Why I hate the Banks with a Passion

Every time a country sets up a private central bank, there are big problems and the people are always robbed by the fraud they impose. When I read about banks getting caught manipulating their costumers delaying to post a payroll deposit to bank accounts so the banks could run the checks, then they can charge their clients with overdraft fees. The Banks today are known to rip off today more than ever.

US nuclear carrier conducts naval drills with Japan as N. Korea threatens H-bomb test

The 100,000-ton US Navy supercarrier ‘Ronald Reagan’ has conducted drills with Japanese warships south of the Korean Peninsula, Japan's military said. Pyongyang, meanwhile, has threatened a further “hydrogen bomb test” over the Pacific.
The Japan Maritime Self Defense Force said in a statement on Friday that the Nimitz-class nuclear-powered supercarrier ‘Ronald Reagan,’ based in the Japanese town of Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, and its escort ships have been holding drills with Japanese Navy vessels in waters south and west of Japan's main islands since September 11. The strike group is also set to stage a separate drill with the South Korean Navy in October, the Defense Ministry added.

Indian, Pakistani Armies Hold Cross-Border Talks Amidst Deadly Shelling

After a week of heavy cross-border shelling between Indian and Pakistani forces, the directors general of military operations (DGMOs) of both armies held a crucial meeting on Friday.

That meeting unfortunately made no headway, as both sides accused each other of violating the ceasefire. Pakistan alleged that shelling by Indian troops resulted in the death of six Pakistani civilians and injured 30. The Indian side vehemently denied having deliberately fired at civilians.

"DGMO-level talks on behest of Pak DGMO was held on September 22. During the talks the Pak DGMO raised the issue of targeting of Pakistani civilians opposite the Jammu sector," the Indian Army said in a statement on Friday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Dear Russian Ambassador Sergei Lavroff: I know you are desperately trying to get North Korea and the US out of each other's faces; but if you have a spare moment, could you please talk India and Pakistan (both nuclear armed nations) out of creating mutually assured destruction by using such weapons against each other?!?

Because sir, if the excrement hits the ventillation shaft here, at warp speed, we are looking at the nightmare sceenario of India fighting with its ally, the US, against Pakistan, and potentially China.

Thank you.

A Crash Course in Preparedness: Week 2: Medicine, Sanitation, and Surviving Disaster Diseases, by Tess Pennington

This Crash Course To Preparedness guide is the second in a series of four. You can view Week 1 here: A Crash Course in Preparedness – Week 1 – The Survival Basics

Welcome back to week 2 in our Crash Course into Preparedness. Last week we discussed the basics of survival and gear needed for a short-lived event. One of the comments from last week’s class mentioned that it isn’t hard to prepare, you just have to start. I couldn’t agree more! My only addition I would make to this comment is in order to start you must prioritize your needs and know what you’re planning for. This week, we are taking the same concept from last week – prioritizing, planning and preparing to another facet of disaster planning and highlighting the more dirty side of preparedness – medical and sanitation needs.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please read chapters one and two, and either forward, or print this out, for people you care about; a little bit of understanding of what you will need in an emergency, may, seriously, be the difference between life and death.

And please remember; the folks living through the storms in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico who were NOT eating out of dumpsters, were the preppers!!

"We Will Not Seek Permission": Defiant Iran Unveils New Ballistic Missile

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani delivered another snub to the Trump administration on Friday when he said that Iran would continue its missile program in defiance of US sanctions, and to underscore the determination, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard unveiled its newest long-range ballistic missile during a military parade in Tehran.

The new missile that was introduced at the parade is capable of reaching much of the Middle East, including Israel, with a range of 1,200 miles. It's also capable of carrying several warheads. The parade in Tehran commemorated the 1980s Iraq-Iran war. Though Iran has long boasted of having missiles in the same range in its arsenal, it was the first time that the new Khoramshahr missile was displayed in public, the AP reported adding that in February, Iran test-fired the same medium-range type of missile, prompting Trump to say that the United States is "putting Iran on notice."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Look, with the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia collectively breathing down Iran's neck, in terms of screaming "regime change" at Tehran, if you were Rouhani, wouldn't you be looking at producing the best weapons possible, as a deterrent to that regime change?!?

Of course you would!!

China Fears "Vicious Circle" On Korean Peninsula, US Sees "Tipping Point" If Kim Tests H-Bomb Over Pacific

In a considerably more aggressive, and less diplomatic, 'story' in China's government mouthpiece Xinhua, writers warn:

"It is not hard to tell that the situation has become a vicious circle where more missile tests trigger more sanctions, while more sanctions trigger more tests..." urging the double-freeze solution once again, saying that "the parties concerned need to respect each other's security concerns."

However, following last night's less than veiled threat from North Korea that the next escalation will be to test a hydrogen-bomb over the Pacific:

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho suggested leader Kim Jong Un was considering testing “an unprecedented scale hydrogen bomb” over the Pacific in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat at the United Nations to “totally destroy” the country.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I fully expect that either North Korea is going to haul off, and test some kind of a bomb, (or the US will create a false flag to make it appear that he has done so), and relatively soon.

The North Korean holiday, Party Foundation Day, comes up on 10 October, and Kim Jung Un likes to "couple" missile tests with national holidays: he may decide to do such a test then, or perhaps sooner.

But Youtube has just done something completely, thoroughly, amazingly idiotic, realtive to North Korea; as reported at 38north.org, a program run by Duke University to track what North Korea is doing via satellite.

Thanks to YouTube, North Korea Has Just Become Even More Opaque

The article goes on to state:

"YouTube’s decision to delete North Korean YouTube channels has served to highlight the sometimes-unintended consequences of sanctions and the absolute power enjoyed by Internet companies over their users. In doing so, the company has cut off a vital supply of video used by open source researchers, which means there is now less visibility into what’s happening in North Korea. The Western world’s understanding of North Korea is limited to begin with, cutting off access to these few windows into North Korean thinking and life further hampers our knowledge of the country.

On September 8, some in the open source intelligence community logged on to YouTube to find the “Uriminzokkiri” (우리민족끼리) channel was gone.

The only explanation from Google was a simple notice: “This account has been terminated for violating YouTube’s community guidelines.” At about the same time, the same message appeared on the “StimmeKoreas” YouTube channel."

Could the timing possibly have been any worse, in this very dangerous moment when it appears that the US and North Korea appear to be closer to actual military conflict than they have for years ?!?

I think not.

Florida Residents Warned They'll Be Ticketed For Hurricane-Damaged Homes

At a time when South Floridians rocked by Hurricane Irma were still surveying the damage to their properties, the county of Miami-Dade apparently thought it appropriate to begin handing out safety notices.

Celso Perez told local WSVN-TV that he, his family, and his neighbors were starting to clear fallen trees from the streets after the storm passed through at nine in the morning on Monday. Hours later, in the afternoon, Perez got a visit from the county.

“And we thought he was here to help us or offer some type of assistance with the trees, maybe he was going to bring us ice or something,” Perez told WSVN. Instead, the official slapped a safety notice on the only part of Perez’s fence still standing.

“I laughed,” he said. “I thought he was kidding. ‘You are kidding right? We just had a hurricane six hours ago.’ ‘No, I’m not kidding. I have to cite you for this.’ I just laughed. OK, whatever; knock yourself out!”

Webmaster's Commentary:

From the department of "You can't make this sh*t up" in Miami-Dade Florida.

Absolutely unbelievable on the part of this officer; but then again, he was probably commanded to write as many tickets for this sort of thing as humanly possible, to fill the country's coffers on the backs of storm-stricken survivers.

American College of Pediatrics Reaches Decision: Transgenderism of Children is Child Abuse!

The American College of Pediatricians issued a statement this week condemning gender reclassification in children by stating that transgenderism in children amounts to child abuse.

The stories have been rampant of parents treating their little boys as girls because they “thought they identified” that way.

Between you, me, and the fence-post. When I was in the second grade, I wanted to be Cindy from the Brady Bunch. Why? I have no clue! I do know that never in my adult life have I identified as, or wanted to be a woman. My parents never knew. But if they had, and fostered that silly imaginary play, they could have well guided me into something worse. It is important to note that over half of the transgender population considers suicide!

A UN Force for Ukraine: Beware the Trojan Horse

The regime in Kiev is now an adjunct of the NATO war alliance, a willing pawn in the bigger game. It has dragged its people into chaos and poverty and they have gained nothing except NATO chains.

The United States and its allies want Russian subservience and will push until they get it or are they are stopped. In the meantime they too drag their peoples into chaos and poverty. Russia, with a deep experience, does not want another general war and so searches for light under any barrel. There is not much to find but at least Russia is making the attempt, searching for peace. Like John Lennon they just want to give peace a chance but the United States leadership doesn’t want any of it. They are only searching for domination or war and continue to deliver to Russia one insult after another even as Russia bends over backward to accommodate the US in Korea.

The White House Is Secretly Planning for Confrontation with Iran: Report

As Donald Trump takes to the U.N. General Assembly to demonize Iran yet again, the Trump administration is also considering a more aggressive strategy towards Iran behind closed doors, sources have told Reuters.

According to six current and former U.S. officials, the U.S. will be looking at more hostile responses to Iran’s forces, its proxy armies in Iraq and Syria, and its support for militant groups.

According to the sources, the current proposal was drafted by Defense Secretary Jim “Mad Dog” Mattis, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, national security advisor General H.R. McMaster, and several other top officials before it was presented to President Trump at a National Security Council meeting on September 9.

The proposal will ultimately be made public before the end of September, two of the sources said. The sources requested anonymity because the draft proposal had not yet been finalized.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This will lead, ultimately, to war against both Russia and Iran, as Russian politicians and military professionals have vowed that should Iran be attacked militarily, they will respond.

It is only a matter of time; and my sense, listening to the intense demonisation of Iran by President Trump at the UN earlier this week in his maiden speech there, it will be a question of sooner, rather than later.

And President Trump may find a way for the Iranians to be perceived as having struck first, perhaps tricking them into attacking a nearby US outpost in the Middle East as did FDR, with the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor, Oahu, to whip up collective American animosity and desire for revenge against them.
Pearl Harbor attack; Hawaii was surprised, but FDR was not.

I would, however, like to strongly caution President Trump about such a war against Iran in one specific area; both Israel and Saudi Arabia have been cheerleading for regime change in Tehran for a long time; but they fully expect the costs borne from such a war to be primarily in American blood and American money.

Mr. President, if there EVER was a time for not obliging your twin BFFs in the Middle East, Bibi Netanyahu and Prince Salman, by starting this potentially catastrophic war in the Middle East, it is now.

The interests of the American people are absolutely not alligned with those of these two tyrannical leaders on this issue.

Let them join forces and fight Iran, if they are pathologically incapable of engaging in intelligent, moral, hard-won negotiations with which to resolve their differences with Iran; but let's leave the American military out of this, please.

Trump, We Hardly Knew Ye (Too bad your Camelot was only a brief shining moment)

If Trump was ever sincere, his election has proven that one person simply cannot fight this corrupt system, this horrid swamp. Trump the reformer, the unlikeliest of knights in shining armor, is gone. The renegade billionaire striking fear into the heart of the establishment lasted a brief shining moment, like Camelot. Trump has unfortunately proven to be exactly what his detractors claimed he was; immature, egotistical, unprincipled, vain, elitist. This certainly doesn’t make most of his critics any less offensive than they are. Indeed, that is the lone redeeming value of Trump’s administration; he continues to have all the right enemies. The threats of violence, even assassination, from every pillar of the establishment almost make one want to continue to defend him. Almost.

Happy Birthday CIA: Seven Truly Terrible Things the Agency Has Done in 70 Years

On Monday, President Trump tweeted birthday wishes to the Air Force and the CIA. Both became official organizations 70 years ago on September 18, 1947, with the implementation of the National Security Act of 1947.

After spending years as a wartime intelligence agency called the Office of Strategic Services, the agency was solidified as a key player in the federal government’s operations with then-President Harry Truman’s authorization.

In the seventy years since, the CIA has committed a wide variety of misdeeds, crimes, coups, and violence. Here are seven of the worst programs they’ve carried out (that are known to the public):

Never Forget: The US Government Has A Known History Of Using False Flags

When it comes to 9/11, there are two groups of people: those who don’t know exactly what happened, and those who orchestrated it.

Nearly everyone on earth belongs in the former category, but a lot of folks like to pretend they have a rock solid understanding of the events which transpired on that fateful day in 2001. Scoffing mainstream adherents like to pretend they’re confident that the official narrative is accurate, but they aren’t. A lot of hardcore conspiracy analysts like to pretend they know the real story, but they don’t.

There’s simply not enough publicly available information for anyone to be certain exactly how things went down that day; all we can know for sure is that (A) the official story is riddled with plot holes, and (B) the American power establishment has an extensive and well-documented history of using false flags and propaganda to manipulate the public into supporting evil acts of military interventionism.

Trump is conflating Pyongyang with Tehran. The results could be catastrophic

President Donald Trump took a page out of the George W Bush playbook at his UN address on Tuesday. To justify confrontation with Iran, conflate it with Pyongyang. To justify confrontation with North Korea, conflate it with Tehran.

This is the latest gimmick in Trump’s desperate efforts to kill the nuclear deal with Iran: by focusing on Tehran’s objectionable non-nuclear policies and false claims of the unevenness of the Iran deal, Trump is arguing that sustaining the international accord can no longer be justified since it doesn’t address the totality of America’s concerns with Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What I am seeing, in Trump's conflating Iran with North Korea and Russia, is an arc of desperate geopolitical insanity from this administration, stretching from Asia all the way through the Middle East, and over to Russia.

And why?!?

Because the US economy is about to tank, and the US government wants to have something to blame for that happening, and attempt to misdirect Americans from it with a world war.

A very "serious as a heart attack" political analyst, Paul Craig Roberts, has recently claimed that the US government is looking to nuke both Russia and China.

Washington Plans to Nuke Russia and China

This isn't some raving lunatic, screaming that the sky is falling; he is an accomplished author, politician, and lecturer. As his wikipedia bio states:

"Paul Craig Roberts (born April 3, 1939, in Atlanta, Georgia) is an economist and a nationally syndicated columnist for Creators Syndicate. He served as an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration earning fame as the "Father of Reaganomics". He is a former editor and columnist for the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and Scripps Howard News Service. He is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and he holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. He was a post-graduate at the University of California, Berkeley, and Oxford University where he was a member of Merton College.

In 1992 he received the Warren Brookes Award for Excellence in Journalism. In 1993 the Forbes Media Guide ranked him as one of the top seven journalists in the United States.[1] His writings frequently appear on OpEdNews.com, Antiwar.com, VDARE.com. Lew Rockwell's web site, CounterPunch, and the American Free Press."

This guy has "street cred", and is no intellectual slouch by any standard. So when he told us, as he did back in April, that the US government is getting ready to militarily knock the heck out of Russia and China, to prevent the rise of the ruble and yuan in international business trade, I would suggest that you take him at his word.

Mike and I have been looking at this coming, for about the last 20 years; it's like the architypal dream of seeing a slow-motion train wreck about to happen, but being powerless to prevent it.

And unfortunately, unless we on planet earth wind up on the receiving end of a miracle, such a train wreck appears imminent.

I hope to heck I am absolutely, completely wrong; but I cannot but help seeing that the momentum toward such a war is growing exponentially for those in the Bowels of Power in the Occupied, Unhinged, Surveilled States of Amerika.

U.S. not ruling out possible oil embargo on Venezuela: Haley

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said on Thursday a range of options remained on the table, including a possible oil embargo, if Venezuela did not move to restore its democratic processes.

“There’s a lot of support in Latin America to see Venezuela start to respect its people and go back to the democracy it’s supposed to be,” she told reporters. “If things don’t improve, all those options are always there,” Haley added, saying specifically that the possibility of an oil embargo remained.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As reported by ap.com on 10 August, 2017:

But even as the list of targeted individuals grows longer, promised economic sanctions have yet to materialize amid an outcry by the United States oil industry that a potential ban on petroleum imports from Venezuela – the third-largest supplier to the US – would hurt US jobs and drive up gas costs.

So the oil embargo suggested by Ambassador Haley is going to mess considerably with the American econony, yet she seems gung ho to do this, to achieve the Trump Administration's geopolitical objective of regime change in Caracas, and having Venezuelan oil ultimately sold only in US dollars?!?

Such a plan sounds absolutely as though it will be of no actual help to either the American or Venezuelan people; but of great help to the massive US oil companies, and the banks.

Russia Warns It Would Retaliate Against US Forces in Syria If Provoked

According to the Pentagon, US and Russian generals have held a face-to-face meeting this week about trying to avoid accidental conflict within Syria, with both sides are finding their forces increasingly in close proximity, and with contrary agendas.

According to spokesman Col. Ryan Dillon, both sides “laid down maps and graphics” suggesting an unusual increase in information sharing between the two sides. This comes amid warnings from Russia that they’re prepared to retaliate against US troops if provoked.

It’s not just a theoretical problem either. Russian officials warn that twice in recent days their troops have come under fire from US-backed Kurdish forces, including a time when mortars were fired at them from a position held by US troops.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I a military CO on the ground in Syria, I would take the Russians at their word on this.

The Russian military, in concert with Syrian forces, have pretty much retaken most of the country held under ISIS.

For a sane US military commander, or commander in chief, there can be very little realistic hope of regime change in Damascus at this point, unless the US government decides it is worth it to fight both Russia and Syrian forces on the ground, and we most likely do not have the necessary number of troops to do this here.

And the US military, at this time in its history, absolutely does not have the troop strength; the money; the manufacturing or the weaponry to accomplish this in Syria.

Therefore, henceforward, militarily, and dealing with the current state of US troop and equipment readiness (or lack thereof), I would both strongly and politely suggest that the US government needs to pick its fights very carefully.

Tillerson: Iran ‘Technically’ Complying With Nuclear Deal

In comments that may provide some insight into the Trump Administration position on Iran, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson conceded that “no one” disagreed with Iran being in compliance with the P5+1 nuclear deal. He insisted, however, that this compliance was only “technically” compliance.

This led to talk of Iran violating the “spirit” of the deal, even though they are complying with all the actual written terms of the deal. Tillerson suggested that the expectation was that the deal would “remove” Iran as a threat in the eyes of the US.

Which of course is something that Iran has literally no control over. US policy is to be hostile toward Iran, and the fact that this didn’t evaporate overnight is neither surprising, nor something that anyone could’ve thought might happen as the result of the P5+1 deal, which covered only Iran’s civilian nuclear program.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a professional basket ball player might observe, The Trump administration has "no game" against Iran, which is why it is attempting to demonize the Iranian government over things which were never a part of the P5+1 agreement in the first place.

And Mr. President, a word here, please: both Saudi Arabia and Israel would love to see regime change in Damascus; but generally, only at the cost of American blood and American money.

Here at home, you're dealing with a war-weary and war-cynical citizenry, who are looking at the epic fails of US foreign policy represented by the "usual suspects" of real, or attempted, regime change: Iraq; Afghanistan; Syria; Somalia; and Libya, and seriously doubt that this is really the right time to get into another military misadventure in the Middle East, Africa, or North Korea, or anywhere else, thank you very much.

And as a Christian pacifist activist, constantly exhorting both you, and every one else at the Federal level, to attempt to resolve this country's geopolitical differences with meaningful negotiations, rather than through wars, I am politely and sincerely asking you to allow the US government to stay the course with the P5+1 treaty.

This continues to work for peace, and the Iranian government has been declared in full compliance of the deal by the IAEA, and these people are smart enough to understand if there is the slightest deviation from what they expect to see.

Let's let the experts continue to do their jobs.

We have problems enough here in the US, where half the country is burning with uncontrolled wildfires, and the other half is flooded by tropical storms and torrential rains, not to mention an economy which is just about on the tipping point.

South Korea Unexpectedly Approves Aid to North

In a move no one expected, and which puts them squarely at odds with the US, South Korea today announced the provision of a new $8 million aid package for neighboring North Korea. The provision of humanitarian aid is directly in contrast with US calls for “more pressure.”

South Korea’s Unification Ministry says that there is no risk of the aid being diverted to military use, and will not include any cash payments. Rather, the aid is to wholly be in the form of food and medicine for children and pregnant women.

This is particularly timely, as North Korean Ambassador Han Tae Song was complaining to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child on Wednesday that the mounting UN-imposed sanctions are endangering local children, and forcing cuts in both health and education for them.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This appears to be South Korea's way of saying to the US government, "back the *&*&"* off these threats to destroy North Korea!"

End-of-world prediction interrupts TV broadcasts in Orange County

Cox and Spectrum are investigating who sent out the alert and whether it was done accidentally or on purpose. It was unclear where the audio came from.

“We have confirmed that we were fed an incorrect audio file,” said Dennis Johnson, a spokesman for Spectrum.

It hasn’t been determined if the audio in the alert is related to a prophecy by David Meade, a self-described “specialist in research and investigations” who believes catastrophic events will occur Saturday.

He predicts a constellation – a sign prophesied in the Book of Revelation – will reveal itself in the skies over Jerusalem, signaling the beginning of the end of the world, according to the Washington Post.

Distrustful U.S. allies force spy agency to back down in encryption fight

An international group of cryptography experts has forced the U.S. National Security Agency to back down over two data encryption techniques it wanted set as global industry standards, reflecting deep mistrust among close U.S. allies.

In interviews and emails seen by Reuters, academic and industry experts from countries including Germany, Japan and Israel worried that the U.S. electronic spy agency was pushing the new techniques not because they were good encryption tools, but because it knew how to break them.

The NSA has now agreed to drop all but the most powerful versions of the techniques - those least likely to be vulnerable to hacks - to address the concerns.

Manafort Offered to Give Russian Billionaire “Private Briefings” on 2016 Campaign

The New American reported in an August 9 article that during the early morning hours of July 26, FBI agents raided Manafort’s Alexandria, Virginia home.

The article reported:

The agents were executing a warrant obtained by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, as part of his probe into the alleged interference by the Russian government in last year’s presidential campaign. Manafort has been under investigation by the FBI since 2014 for his work on behalf of the Party of Regions of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, a close ally of the Russians.

The article noted that Mueller has put together an army of 16 lawyers in his probe, and has empaneled a grand jury that can issue subpoenas for business and financial records.

Trump and Netanyahu Made A Complete Fool of Themselves in Front of World Leaders

Donald Trump’s speech to the UN General Assembly of September 19th 2017 will surely go down in history as marking the final collapse of a terminally corrupt regime, where any pretence of cooperative co-existence with the world has given way to the logic of the battlefield.

And while it is too soon to decide if the Western World will follow America into this dark space, the early signs are not good. Some US allies have already given their support to Trump’s psychopathic threat to “totally destroy North Korea”
***
Amongst the world leaders supporting and even praising Trump for “saying it like it is” (though it isn’t actually..) there was one who has slaughtered a few sheep in his time, and who delivered an address to the UN almost exceeding Donald Trump’s in its mendacity and malignancy. Netanyahu>>>

I thought I would post this to see if we were in fact on the same page?

For those who vote and for those who don't.
Those elected parties filling both sides of U.S. Politics have for decades destroyed this country.

The United States has millions of homeless, starving and jobless citizens.

Veteran's have been allowed to die exceeding the 307,000 number as well as the additional 22 suicides a day. Those Veteran's were not killed by some foreign enemy. But buy their own Governments actions or inactions. Those still alive are sedated on Billions of dollars of SSRI's and other drugs. This allows them to cope with sustained injuries as well as related PTSD (Shell Shock) and also in our society, after returning home. They find out they were lied to as to the premise of the "Foreign Wars" they fought in.

Perhaps this is why the VFW exists. As no country has attacked America. Yes one could use the quote from George W. Bush of having to "Fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here." clause.

COURT RULES STINGRAY USE WITHOUT A WARRANT VIOLATES FOURTH AMENDMENT

Today, the Washington DC Court of Appeals overturned a Superior Court conviction of a man who was located by police using a cell-site simulator, or Stingray, CBS Newsreports. The court ruled that the defendant’s Fourth Amendment rights were violated when law enforcement tracked down the suspect using his own cell phone without a warrant.

Stingrays work by pretending to be a cell tower and once they’re brought close enough to a particular phone, that phone pings a signal off of them. The Stingray then grabs onto that signal and allows whoever’s using it to locate the phone in question. These sorts of devices are used by a number of different agencies including the FBI, ICE, the IRS as well as policeofficers.

UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES & UGLY REPERCUSSIONS: IT'S GETTING WORSE IN CATALONIA

As NakedCapitalism's Jerri-Lynn writes, the Catalonia crisis is accelerating, with Madrid’s crackdown increasing support for independence even among those previously not so disposed. This does not look like it will end well.

Spain will deploy police reinforcements to the northeastern region of Catalonia to maintain order and take actionif a referendum on independence pledged by the Catalan government but deemed illegal by Spain should take place, officials said Friday.

AP reports that an Interior Ministry statement said the extra agents would provide backing for the Catalan regional police who are also under orders to prevent the staging of the referendum.

But protests continue to grow and Rajoy's actions only seem to solidify opposition...

Webmaster's Commentary:

This has all the earmarks of a coming civil war in Spain, unless Madrid relents, which I do not think is going to happen.

1 October is one week from Sunday, and I do not think that there is anything, ulitmately, Spain can actually do, to prevent this secession of Catalonia, as much as they may hate the idea.

Reuters U.S.

At 5 a.m. Friday, Hurricane Maria is about 35 miles ENE of Grand Turk Island. It remains a Category 3 hurricane.

At 8 a.m., Hurricane Maria is about 30 miles NNE of Grand Turk Island. Hurricane conditions are occurring on the Turks and Caicos Islands this morning.

Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 160miles. This would keep Maria far east of Florida. Maria is expected to slow down and gradually weaken in the western Atlantic Ocean early next week due to shear and cooler waters.

Swells from Maria are expected to begin reaching the coast of the southeastern United States today. These swells will cause dangerous surf and life-threatening rip currents along the east coast for the next several days even though Maria is forecast to remain well offshore over the western Atlantic Ocean.

It may even be a policy option that is so far outside the mainstream that Trump’s national-security aides would disabuse him of studying it further. Scott Adams: How a Silicon Valley Investor Does Leadership

Lately I have been describing my personal political views as “left of Bernie, but with a preference for plans that can work.” In other words, I would love universal healthcare and free college. I just don’t know how to get there in any practical way. I don’t think anyone else does either.

This indirectly brings me to Sam Altman, CEO of Y-Combinator, and a billionaire investor. He’s embarking on an experiment to see what happens when you give citizens free money, no strings attached. This is important because our robot-centric future will mean the end of most forms of human labor. And that means one of two things, in all likelihood: 1) 90% of the world starves to death while the robot-owners thrive, or 2) 90% of the world receives some sort of “free money” from the rich, with no strings attached. Sam is testing option two.

"Extraordinary & Worrisome" - WSJ Demands To Know How FBI 'Meddled' In 2016 Elections

When Donald Trump claimed in March that he’d had his “wires tapped” prior to the election, the press and Obama officials dismissed the accusation as a fantasy. We were among the skeptics, but with former director James Comey’s politicized FBI the story is getting more complicated.

CNN reported Monday that the FBI obtained a warrant last year to eavesdrop on Paul Manafort, Mr. Trump’s campaign manager from May to August in 2016. The story claims the FBI first wiretapped Mr. Manafort in 2014 while investigating his work as a lobbyist for Ukraine’s ruling party. That warrant lapsed, but the FBI convinced the court that administers the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to issue a second order as part of its probe into Russian meddling in the election.

Guess who has lived in a condo in Trump Tower since 2006? Paul Manafort.

The story suggests the monitoring started in the summer or fall, and extended into early this year.

Driving Miss Crazy: Morgan Freeman Declares War on Russia at Rob Reiner's Behest

Social media is awash with outrage after Hollywood megastar Morgan Freeman appeared in a propaganda video issued by a newly-established anti-Russian non-profit group, in which he declares Washington is at war with Moscow.

Morgan Freeman is an almost universally beloved figure in the West, and his famed golden voice almost universally beloved across the West, so it's understandable why the newly-established Committee to Investigate Russia might choose him to front its propaganda campaign.

However, initial reactions to the clip on social media suggest the move might've been a titanic misfire, as even supporters of the #TheRussiansDidIt hypothesis criticizing the group, and slamming the video's incendiary tone.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder what a forensic accounting of the group sponsoring this video would reveal about who actually paid for this?!?

The "cozying up" between the US government/military and "Hollowood", over decades, is no big secret.

Shell corporations, posing as non-profits, are a common feature in the American business landscape these days.

Any professional respect I once had for this very capable actor, which was huge, has just been shattered into absolute oblivion.

Did he not realise, upon accepting the gig, which was allegedly fronted by Rob Reiner, that he is actually working for the military/industrial complex of the Occupied, Unhinged Surveilled States of Amerika?!?

Because the ultimate "winner" in the ratcheting up of tensions between the OUSSA and Russia, will be only that warmongering gang of thugs which manufacture weapons, in terms of more huge outlays in military spending, as the Deep State is actually planning to go to war against Russia AND China, to prevent the rise of the ruble and yuan against the petrodollar.

Washington plans to Nuke Russia and China

And how many defense companies may be in Rob Reiner's financial portfolio at this moment?!?

He is rumored to be worth 60 million in net worth at this point in his career

Did all of that come only from residuals and socially conscious investing?!? One has to wonder.

China says North Korean situation more serious by the day

The situation on the Korean peninsula is getting more serious by the day and cannot be allowed to spin out of control, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his German counterpart, the state-run China News Service said on Thursday.

A resolution to the North Korea issue cannot only rely on sanctions and not talks, Wang said, meeting German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel on the sidelines of a United Nations meeting in New York on Wednesday, the report added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ambassador Yi is absolutely correct in his assessment.

China absolutely does NOT want to get mired in a war between the US and North Korea, and is very teed off that the confrontation has pushed tensions in the region to a knife's edge.

The US tolerates a nuclear-armed China; a nuclear-armed Israel; a nuclear-armed Russia; a nuclear-armed Pakistan; and a nuclear-armed India; why is it pathologically incapable, under President Trump's watch, of tolerating a nuclear-armed North Korea?!?

These weapons are developed as a deterrent to invasion, and would never be used in a first-strike capability by North Korea, because they understand that should they do so, the US, South Korea. and Japan would have their country reduced to molten glass in a heartbeat.

TRUMP FALLS IN LINE WITH INTERVENTIONISM

In discussing President Trump, there is always the soft prejudice of low expectations – people praise him for reading from a Teleprompter even if his words make little sense – but there is no getting around the reality that his maiden address to the United Nations General Assembly must rank as one of the most embarrassing moments in America’s relations with the global community.

Trump offered a crude patchwork of propaganda and bluster, partly delivered as a campaign speech praising his own leadership – boasting about the relatively strong U.S. economy that he mostly inherited from President Obama – and partly reflecting his continued subservience to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Trump did NOT inherit "...relatively strong U.S. economy" from President Obama; look at all the corporate bankruptcies which have happened in 2016, and 2017, to begin to comprehend the problems with the US economy, which have seen massive Federal and personal debt increase, coupled with the steady outsourcing/offshoring of jobs which used to be the mainstay of the American middle class.

But the rest of the article is absolutely correct, in pointing out President Trump's embracing everything that has failed, spectacularly, with US foreign policy under Bush's and Obama's regimes.

And it appears he is about to double down with North Korea, Iran, and perhaps even Venezuela.

IF, in fact, the US government goes to war against both North Korea and Iran, and choses to fire the first shot, we may well see China defending North Korea, and Russia defending Iran, militarily.

I wish someone who has the President's ear, other than the official triumverate of Mc Master, Kelly, and Mattis, would politely inform President Trump that the US military does not have the money; the manufacturing; the weaponry; or the troop strength to positively militarily engage either country at this point.

After a show of force in Syria, Russia has other countries clamoring for their weapons, because they work as advertised; most American weapons, unfortunately, do not.

Need I remind you of the utter fluster cluck and debacle which is the Lockheed Martin's F-35, which has cost taxpayers billions, but still cannot perform to speck, and may take billions more to ever fix?!?

I rest my case.

DHS PAYS POLICE MILLIONS TO TICKET AND PROSECUTE MOTORISTS

It used to be the DOJ, COPS, NHTSA and the USDOT were responsible for paying police to ticket motorists.

In the past few years, things have taken a turn for the worse. It now appears that DHS has become the largest cash provider for police departments.

What does that mean for motorists?

It means more tickets.

A recent article in the Knoxville News Sentinel, reveals that the Blount County Sheriff's Office received $91,488 from DHS to create 'specialized enforcement' on The Dragon, a section of U.S. Highway 129 near the North Carolina state line.

Another article in the Tennessean revealed how DHS is giving prosecutors millions to target motorists.

"State Department of Safety and Homeland Security Commissioner David Purkey was joined by Vic Donoho, director of the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, in Dickson on Aug. 30 as one part of a four-city, statewide tour Wednesday to announce $19 million in federal grants for programs to reduce road fatalities."

Webmaster's Commentary:

When citations become revenue generators for cities and states, expect them to increase exponentially from now on.

In light of the fact that Mike and I are driving an 18 year old crudmobile, we tend to treat it very gently, and generally drive very conservatively.

But for those out there driving in states where a radar detector is legal to use, it might not be a bad investment right now.

U.S. DEFENSE SECRETARY JIM MATTIS WEIGHS USING “KINETIC WEAPON” ON NORTH KOREA

U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis hinted at using a kinetic weapon on Tuesday while discussing tensions with North Korea when he made a Freudian slip.

Mattis was asked whether there was “any military option the US can take with North Korea that would not put Seoul at grave risk,” Mattis responded, “Yes, there are, but I will not go into details.”

Later during the press conference, another reporter questioned Mattis and caught him off-guard:

“Just to clarify, you said that there were possible military options that would not create a grave risk to Seoul,” a reporter asked. “Are we talking kinetic options as well?”

“Yes, I don’t want to go into that,” Mattis responded.

Previously, Mattis stated that a war with North Korea would “involve the massive shelling of an ally’s capital, (South Korea) which is one of the most densely packed cities on earth.”

Nestlé Makes Billions Bottling Water It Pays Nearly Nothing For

Last year, U.S. bottled water sales reached $16 billion, up nearly 10 percent from 2015, according to Beverage Marketing Corp. They outpaced soda sales for the first time as drinkers continue to seek convenience and healthier options and worry about the safety of tap water after the high-profile contamination in Flint, Mich., about a two-hour drive from Mecosta. Nestlé alone sold $7.7 billion worth worldwide, with more than $343 million of it coming from Michigan, where the company bottles Ice Mountain Natural Spring Water and Pure Life, its purified water line.

IT HAS STARTED: CREEPING GLOBAL DE-DOLLARIZATION

The issue of when a global reserve currency begins or ends is not an exact science. There are no press releases announcing it, and neither are there big international conferences that end with the signing of treaties and a photo shoot. Nevertheless we can say with confidence that the reign of every world reserve currency has to come to and end at some point in time. During a changeover from one global currency to another, gold (and to a lesser extent silver) has always played a decisive role. Central banks and governments have long been aware that the dollar has a sell-by date as a reserve currency. But it has taken until now for the subject to be discussed openly. The fact that the issue has been on the radar of a powerful bank like JP Morgan for at least five years, should give one pause. Questions regarding the global reserve currency are not exactly discussed on CNBC every day. Most mainstream economists avoid the topic like the plague. The issue is too politically charged.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With the BRIC nations bypassing the dollar completely in their trade, we are seeing the wheels starting to come off the car represented by the petrodollar, and with amazing rapidity.

Monsanto will do anything to protect the reputation of Roundup and its other herbicide products – which earned them $1.9 billion in gross profits in 2015 alone – and that includes silencing their detractors.

It has now emerged that the Editor in Chief of the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology who oversaw the famous study’s retraction was on Monsanto’s payroll. This is a conflict of interest at best, and possibly something far more underhanded, and they might have gotten away with it had their lawyers succeeded in preventing their internal documents from being released in a class action lawsuit filed against the firm by cancer patients.

One of the most horrific, immoral actions on behalf of scientists is science for sale, to endorse anything for a buck. This includes vaccines, or alleged
treatments that are supposed to make people better, but frequently do not.

Remember, back in the day, when doctors promoted the smoking of cigarettes?!?

I am old enough to remember these adverts.

To create better health for yourself, and those you care about, please ignore, don't buy, and don't eat, GMO food, as though it were the plague.

Talk to the manager of your local big-box store, or your market, and let them know that you are willing to pay more to insure the food you are eating is GMO free, or that you will change where you go to buy your groceries if the store will not offer gmo-free food.

Loss of revenue is something these stores do not want to see happen; if enough of us have that conversation with these mangers, our ability to get GMO free food will be greater.

Scientists edit embryos' genes to study early human development

British scientists have used a genome editing tool known as CRISPR/Cas9 to knock out a gene in embryos just a few days old, testing the technique's ability to decipher key gene functions in early human development.

The researchers said their experiments, using a technology that is the subject of fierce international debate because of fears that it could be used to create babies to order, will deepen understanding of the biology of early human development.

CRISPR/Cas9 can enable scientists to find and modify or replace genetic defects. Many describe it as game-changing.

"One way to find out what a gene does in the developing embryo is to see what happens when it isn't working," said Kathy Niakan, a stem cell scientists who led the research at Britain's Francis Crick Institute.

"Now we have demonstrated an efficient way of doing this, we hope that other scientists will use it to find out the roles of other genes."

Webmaster's Commentary:

My primary concern about this technology is that it may well be used to prevent the birth of people who are "divergent" in their intelligence, and ask too many logical questions which world governments do not want answered, because it would unmask the basis for control of their populations.

LOVING OUR DEBT-SERFDOM: OUR NEOFEUDAL STATUS QUO

Democracy (i.e. political influence) and ownership of productive assets are the exclusive domains of the New Aristocracy.

I have often used the words neoliberal, neocolonial and neofeudal to describe our socio-economic-political status quo. Here are my shorthand descriptions of each term:

1. Neoliberal: the commoditization / financialization of every asset, input (such as labor) and output of the economy; the privatization of the public commons, and the maximizing of private profits while costs and losses are socialized, i.e. transferred to the taxpayers.

2. Neocolonial: the exploitation of the domestic populace using the same debt-servitude model used to subjugate, control and extract profits from overseas populations.

3. Neofeudal: the indenturing of the workforce via debt and financial repression to a new Aristocracy; the disempowerment of the workforce into powerless debt-serfs.

Webmaster's Commentary:

After the deaths and maimings for life of so many of our brave military service people in Iraq and Afganinstan, ultimately for control of the oil pipelines and mineral resources of these countries, and my nacent, dawning understanding of Karl Marx's statement that "all wars are economic in nature", I can no longer buy into anything the corporate presstitutes are saying. They may get the weather correctly, but even that can be problematic.

The Occupied, Unhinged, Surveilled State of America has never been a true meritocracy; it has always been about power, money, and influence, of which I have precious little.

But I have never bought into victimhood or identity politics, which I think, has been a reasonbly healthy way in which to behave. As a 68 year old, still working woman, an equity feminist, and a published composer, I appreciate what I can still bring to the table, in terms of both art and business.

I will not be defined by a corpratocracy which may dictate that I am "over the hill". You would never hear that from the clients for whom I do marketing!! :-)

Phoenix Will Be Almost Unlivable By 2050 Thanks To Climate Change

Sorry to put such a fine point on this, but even without climate change, Phoenix, Arizona, is already pretty uninhabitable. Don't get me wrong, I spend a fair amount of time there, and I love it—particularly in the fall and winter—but without air-conditioning and refrigeration, it would be unlivable as is. Even with those modern conveniences, the hottest months take their toll on my feeble Southern Californian body and brain. The historical average number of days per year in Phoenix that hit 100 degrees is a mind-bending 92. But that number is rapidly rising as climate change bears down on America's fifth-largest city.

A Shocking Number Of College Kids Think Violence Against A Speaker Is OK

Results of a survey published this week by the Brookings Institute paint an pretty bleak picture of how college students view free speech in the US. John Villasenor, a researcher at Brookings, asked 1,500 kids enrolled in schools across 49 states and Washington, DC, four questions about their thoughts on the First Amendment and found that not only did they possess a shocking ignorance about one of the country's foundational ideas, but that many condoned violence against people they disagreed with.
